We, the Board of Bears Ventura, have established a goal for our 15th Anniversary of raising $15,000 for local charity programs. We collectively feel that the budget cuts placed on community programs supporting LGBTQ programs and HIV/AIDS services are unacceptable and will have a devastating effect on our community at large.
Throughout the year, special fundraising events will be hosted to reach our goal of $15,000. We invite everyone to be a part of these events, members and non-members alike. We are all part of the community at large and we know that together, we can reach this goal and provide some much needed support.
Our tally board will keep you up to date on our fundraising efforts; please check back often to see how, with your help, we’ve done.
As with everything we do, Bears Ventura will remain true to the original spirit of the club’s organization, “to have fun”. If you have an event suggestion, don’t hesitate to contact any Board Member and if you’d like to assist with any of our events, the invitation stands. This is about the entire club supporting Ventura’s entire gay community.
